An Update from Character First Education

Thank you for your commitment to helping develop students with character. Although Character First was founded in 1992 to provide character development resources for businesses, we quickly found there was great interest in adopting a similar approach from educators. In response to the need, we launched Character First Education in 1996, as a resource for public, private, and homeschool families. Over the last 25 years, we have been privileged to provide curriculum to millions of students across the globe.

The challenges we have all encountered due to COVID-19 have forced us to reconsider our business model. Although we are heartbroken to have lost some of the members of our team through layoffs, we have adopted a plan that we hope will allow us to continue to actively pursue our purpose while providing our customers access to the CFE curriculum.

Among the most significant expenses for our customers are shipping costs. To help defray these costs, we are now offering digital versions of our curriculum on Also, we are excited to share that many of our printed materials are available through Amazon. For many families and schools, this option will result in reduced shipping costs, especially for those who have Prime memberships. Some items are not a viable option for Amazon, and we are currently working on alternative printing and shipping options.

Thank you for making a difference. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, educators have demonstrated incredible resourcefulness and creativity in helping stay connected to your students. Your work is incredibly important, and we are honored to be of service to you.
